Job summary

The Groove is seeking a highly experienced Workday Financials Principal Consultant to lead senior engagements, shape solution design, and ensure successful Workday Financials implementations. You will mentor junior staff, collaborate across practices, and advise clients on best practices to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of Workday Financials consulting experience and multiple full-cycle implementations.
• Deep knowledge of Workday Financials core modules and configuration.
• Strong ability to lead client workshops, gather requirements, and drive strategic solutioning.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants and leading project teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
• Prior experience at a Workday partner strongly preferred.
• Workday Financials certification(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Workday Financials implementations and optimization projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Partner with client executives to define requirements and translate needs into Workday solutions.
• Provide hands-on expertise in Workday Financials modules (e.g., Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Grants, Inventory, or Business Assets).
• Oversee solution design sessions and guide configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor and develop consultants within the Financials practice.
• Collaborate with other practice leads to deliver integrated Workday solutions.
• Contribute to practice development by refining methodologies and accelerators.
• Support pre-sales activities, including scoping and client presentations.
