Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Workday Delivery Lead to lead complex Workday programs from mobilization through stabilization, balancing delivery discipline, client outcomes, and commercial performance in a Chicago area role.

You will own the integrated delivery strategy, govern programs, coordinate cross-functional Workday workstreams, manage client and engagement financials, and drive executive alignment with sponsors and leaders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated delivery strategy and plan, including scope, milestones, resources, deliverables, and financials.
• Establish program governance, status reporting, escalation paths, quality controls, and documentation standards.
• Drive cross-functional coordination across Workday workstreams, integrations, data conversion, security, reporting, testing, change management, training, cutover, deployment, and support.
• Partner with client sponsors and program leaders to clarify priorities, resolve decisions, manage expectations, and align to business outcomes.
• Maintain active management of risks, actions, issues, decisions, assumptions, and dependencies, with clear owners and target dates.
• Monitor delivery health and take timely corrective action to protect scope, schedule, quality, budget, team sustainability, and client satisfaction.
• Own the management of client and engagement financials, including budget planning, revenue and cost forecasting, staffing and utilization, margin performance, invoicing, change control, and commercial tracking.
• Plan and facilitate executive steering committees, program leadership meetings, status reviews, and working sessions with clear decisions and actions.
• Coordinate release, testing, cutover, operational readiness, go-live, command-center, and stabilization activities using evidence-based entry and exit criteria.
• Ensure delivery methods, quality controls, security expectations, and contractual commitments are understood and followed across the engagement team.
• Lead, coach, and develop project managers and cross-functional team members while promoting collaboration, accountability, and sustainable ways of working.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support successful delivery and future opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, and manage expansion and follow-on sales opportunities by understanding client priorities and unmet needs and partnering with account, sales, and practice leadership.
