Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer specialized in Workday to build resilient finance technology solutions and automate key processes. You will optimize Workday across General Ledger, Expenses, Invoices, Payments, and Suppliers, while collaborating with Product Owners and Finance partners to drive efficiency.

You will continually learn Workday platform updates and contribute to documentation and scalable integration designs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience.
• At least 2 years designing and developing end-to-end Workday solutions.
• At least 2 years working with APIs within Workday using REST or SOAP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners to define application capabilities and testing scenarios.
• Translate business priorities into Finance value propositions and requirements.
• Deliver Workday solutions across Core Financials, Expenses, Invoices, Payments, and Suppliers.
• Communicate effectively with team, Product Owner, and stakeholders to influence solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements with Finance partners.
• Stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes, and capabilities.
• Maintain thorough documentation for system implementation and maintenance.
• Serve as primary business/technical contact for the system.
