We are looking for an experienced Work Zone Traffic Control Engineer to join our team in our Raleigh, NC office. In this role, the engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team leading development of work zone traffic control plans (i.e., traffic management plans), signing delineation, and pavement marking plans for NCDOT, other State DOT agencies, and/or municipal locality transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
The Work Zone Traffic Control Engineerwill be responsible for managing projects and developing traffic management plans, signing plans, and pavement marking plans, specifications, special provisions, cost estimates and any required technical reports for all types of transportation construction projects. The individual will be responsible for mentoring and training younger staff; business development for the traffic engineering services group; assisting office leadership with overall growth visioning; managing project tasks; managing budgets, scopes, schedules; and coordinating with clients and subconsultants. The individual will participate in the planning and design of transportation related projects and must be innovative and adaptive at identifying problems and finding solutions.
