Job summary

Fashion Nova is seeking a seasoned Buyer for the Women’s Denim team to craft the right merchandise mix based on trends and manage assortments to hit financial targets. You will oversee category product assortment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and successful launches.

You will leverage trend analysis, market research, and data-driven insights to optimize profitability while maintaining bold, affordable fashion.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in Buying for apparel, preferably in an eCommerce fashion brand.
• Strong understanding of current and emerging fashion trends, with a deep passion for the fashion industry.
• Experience working with vendors and negotiating product quality, costs, and delivery dates with vendors.
• Excellent prioritization, project management, organization skills, and attention to detail, plus strong analytical skills to support data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Drive Assortment Strategy: Develop and execute buying strategies to curate trend-driven product assortments that align with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
• Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of fashion trends by conducting market research and analyzing social media and competitors.
• Cost Negotiation Margin Optimization: Lead pricing negotiations with suppliers to secure the best cost structures while maintaining quality and maximizing margins.
• Financial Management: Manage weekly sales performance, open-to-buy budgets, pricing, margins, and inventory levels.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, replenishment, planning, and creative teams to ensure timely deliveries and cohesive product launches.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Use sales performance data, customer reviews, and market insights to optimize assortments and profitability.
