Zoox is seeking a Wireless Firmware Validation Engineer to own performance validation, optimization, and debugging of the Telematics Control Unit. You will validate cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity across complex architectures integrating third-party hardware with Zoox's autonomous platform.

You will design and execute comprehensive test plans from hardware bring-up through fleet deployment, using tools like Keysight UXM to identify edge cases and vulnerabilities before they impact

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or similar with 10+ years of wireless validation or embedded systems test engineering.
• Deep expertise in developing 3GPP cellular (4G-LTE, 5G-NR), Wi-Fi, and Satellite feature test plans, and debugging protocol layers (MAC, L1, RF, FW).
• Extensive LTE/5G Protocol Stack knowledge (NAS, PDCP, RRC, RLC, MAC, PHY) and 3GPP spec interpretation.
• Strong ability to use cellular network analysis tools (QXDM, Shannon Tools, Wireshark) to capture and analyze cross-layer behavior.
• Hands-on with industry network emulators (Keysight UXM, Rohde & Schwarz CMW500/CMX500) for baseband testing and bring-up.
• Proficient in Python or Shell scripting for automated test frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Test Architecture & Strategy: Define integration plans, design and execute tests from hardware bring-up to fleet deployment.
• Advanced Testing Campaigns: Design and run campaigns using network emulation tools to identify edge cases and vulnerabilities.
• Deep Debugging: Analyze logs and cross-functional integration issues to identify and fix root causes.
• Interface Validation: Validate interfaces between RF-baseband, baseband-protocol stack, and host.
• Automation & Frameworks: Develop log frameworks and automation scripts for large-scale wireless analysis.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Review and refine Software, Firmware, and integration specs and requirements.
