Job summary

Select Minds LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. You’ll manage a large-scale Windows Server environment, focusing on stability, automation, patching, and security compliance in a hybrid/onsite setting.

The role requires 8+ years in enterprise environments, strong SCCM expertise, PowerShell scripting, and familiarity with Tanium, CrowdStrike, Azure, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Windows Systems Engineering in large-scale enterprises.
• Deep SCCM expertise for server patching, deployment, and reporting.
• Strong vulnerability management and server hardening knowledge.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
• Hands-on with Tanium and comparing its effectiveness to SCCM.
• Experience with Azure and AWS in hybrid environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Windows Server Administration for 2016/2019/2022 at scale.
• Lead monthly patching cycles using SCCM; create and test server packages.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities; improve compliance benchmarks.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting.
• Evaluate Tanium vs SCCM for server management and patching.
• Collaborate with security teams, support hardening initiatives and threats.
