Job summary

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise Engineering team. You will scale HRT’s global hybrid Windows deployment, develop automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions to manage endpoints, servers, cloud infra, and secure remote computing environments worldwide.

The ideal candidate is a Microsoft-based technology engineer with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting and communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience as a Microsoft-based technology engineer.
• Experience using Ansible (or similar configuration-as-code tool) to manage a fleet of Windows devices.
• Proficient in provisioning Microsoft Azure resources with Terraform.
• Experience developing scripts and tools using PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API development and Azure services.

Responsibilities

• Leverage configuration-as-code paradigms to reduce operational overhead of Windows infrastructure.
• Use infrastructure-as-code to configure Microsoft Azure resources consistently.
• Develop PowerShell-based systems to automate operational tasks and improve stability.
• Identify and remediate inefficiencies across Windows endpoints, infrastructure, and Azure resources.
• Participate in ongoing engineering, maintenance, and support to improve the Windows environment.
