Job summary

Hollingsworth & Vose seeks a senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the Windows server estate across on‑prem, virtual, and cloud environments. You will design new systems, lead upgrades, and ensure production reliability while partnering with global locations to meet business goals.

You’ll drive AD hygiene, Entra ID policies, and backup/recovery plans, balancing security, cost, and performance for a hybrid, enterprise-scale environment.

Qualifications

• US citizen or Green Card holder.
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience designing systems through architecture, build, and production ownership.
• Senior technical engineer on an infrastructure team with standards and mentorship.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Azure/Microsoft 365, and Exchange.
• Hands-on with Entra ID Conditional Access and MFA at scale.
• Backup and recovery design and testing across on-prem and cloud.
• Automation and integration skills (PowerShell, Python) and API-driven work.
• Familiarity with AI tools and operational use cases.
• Customer-first mindset and willingness for on-call rotation; occasional travel.
• Experience leading or contributing to a PAM deployment (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own server architecture and engineering across on-prem, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers; lead upgrades end to end.
• Operate AD end to end, manage hygiene, and shape hybrid/cloud domain strategies.
• Configure Exchange Online and related security and mail-flow controls.
• Design and operate Entra ID CA policies, MFA, and privileged access management.
• Manage on-premises virtualization, hypervisors, and VM templates.
• Oversee DFS and corporate file services, potentially modernizing toward SharePoint/OneDrive.
• Own backup and restore programs with defined RPO/RTO targets.
• Automate at the systems level and drive API-driven integration across platforms.
• Provide proactive updates to leadership on state, risks, and project delivery.
