Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a cleared Windows Server System Administrator to support the DOE EHSS contract in Germantown, MD. The role focuses on Windows Server administration with opportunities to work with related technologies in a collaborative, onsite environment.

The candidate should have 2–4 years of Windows Server experience, US citizenship, and an ACTIVE DOE Q or Top Secret clearance. You will join a tenured team, configure and harden systems, and provide Tier 2 support while

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
ACTIVE DOE Q or Top Secret Clearance required.
Windows Server administration experience 2–4 years.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
Willingness to adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and monitor Windows-based systems onsite.
Manage storage appliances and Active Directory in on-prem and cloud environments.
Patching/remediation and baseline hardening per DISA STIGs.
Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and security configurations.
Provide Tier 2 customer support and coordinate with project teams.
Document policies and procedures for systems operations.
Mentor junior staff and assist with project completion.
