Cloudflare, Inc. is seeking a Senior Windows Software Engineer to join the Zero Trust team and work on the desktop client that secures corporate devices as traffic flows through Cloudflare’s global network.

You will use Rust with platform-native languages to build high-performance networking code that runs on multiple desktop platforms. The role emphasizes code quality, strong documentation, and an understanding of Windows internals, kernel-mode programming, and network protocols.

Qualifikationen

• In-depth knowledge of Windows internals, kernel-mode programming, and network protocols.
• Experience in low-level Windows driver development, ideally network drivers.
• Excellent programming skills with high-quality, well-documented code.
• Strong experience writing easily-testable and thoroughly-tested code (e.g. dependency injection).
• Great experience using Rust, C, C++.
• Very comfortable writing multithreaded, asynchronous code.
• Strong experience debugging network-related problems.
• Understanding of VPN technologies and privacy/security trade-offs.
• Good understanding of security protocols and standards.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical bar through code reviews.
• Experience owning technical designs end-to-end and writing specs.
• Track record debugging issues spanning team and system boundaries.
• Empathetic, proactive, and constructive communication skills.
