Job summary

Prime Team Partners is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Rust) to help build a Zero Trust Networking and Secure Access platform that runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The role focuses on secure tunneling, identity-based access, and end-to-end encryption, with a remote-friendly setup for the US and Canada.

You’ll work with a small, highly technical team to evolve the tunneling solution into a full Zero Trust platform, guiding architectural choices and delivering production-grade software

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of production Rust experience.
• Deep understanding of async Rust, concurrency, cancellation, and service lifecycles.
• Experience shipping and supporting long-running client software.
• Windows systems programming experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, IPv4/IPv6.
• Experience with packaging, installers, code signing, and software distribution.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cross-platform Rust services and background daemons for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Develop secure tunneling and remote access technologies.
• Support identity-based device enrollment and authentication features.
• Ensure end-to-end encrypted connectivity and robust network resilience.
• Improve installers, packaging, signing, and software updates across platforms.
• Collaborate with product, backend, and web teams and mentor peers.
