Job summary

Talent Groups seeks a Senior Windows Platform & Automation Engineer to lead the Windows Server lifecycle, security, and automation across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments. The role drives standardization and operational efficiency using PowerShell and Ansible while partnering with infrastructure and security teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience, deep knowledge of Windows Server, AD, GPO, and patch management, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of hands-on Windows Server engineering and security experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
• Experience across VMware, Nutanix, AWS, and Azure environments.
• Ability to develop and maintain runbooks, standards, and security baselines.
• Strong collaboration with infrastructure and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Windows Server lifecycle including patches and upgrades.
• Define, maintain, and improve processes, standards, documentation, and runbooks.
• Partner with system administrators to execute platform activities under governance.
• Drive automation with PowerShell, Ansible, and other tooling.
• Maintain Windows security baselines, Group Policy standards, and platform hardening.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams to improve reliability, security, compliance, and supportability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to modernize the Windows platform and reduce technical debt.
