Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior 2 Engineer to own deep‑dive performance analysis of the Falcon sensor on Windows and to shape diagnostic tooling at the kernel level. This hybrid role requires on‑site presence two days per week at a posted location and sits within the Sensor Performance Engineering team.

You will own complex performance investigations, work across kernel internals, ETW/WPA trace analysis, and customer escalations, influencing engineering decisions and improving system

Qualifications

10+ years hands-on Windows kernel-mode development or equivalent experience.
Expert-level WPA/xperf/ETW/WPP tracing and ETL analysis.
Strong knowledge of Windows kernel APIs for endpoint security.

Responsibilities

Perform deep-dive performance analysis of the Falcon sensor on Windows from triage to fix.
Develop and improve ETW-based diagnostic instrumentation and event coverage.
Analyze WPA/ETL for customer cases and benchmarking; identify bottlenecks.
Review PRs for sensor performance improvements: image load callbacks, registry filter drivers, thread/note routines.
Identify observability gaps and push for tooling enhancements.
