Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Windows Kernel Engineer to join our remote, full‑time team. You will design and enhance high‑assurance kernel components and driver code for a cutting‑edge cybersecurity platform.

The role requires deep knowledge of Windows internals, kernel architecture, and drivers, with hands‑on experience in KMDF, minifilters, and WFP callouts. Excellent collaboration and mentoring skills are a must.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in C++17 (or newer) system programming and low‑level development in Windows
• At least 1 year of experience developing Windows kernel drivers
• Strong understanding of Windows internals and kernel architecture
• Experience with Windows debugging tools such as WinDbg
• Experience with KMDF, Minifilters, Registry Callbacks, and WFP Callouts is highly desirable
• Experience developing security or cybersecurity products is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to mentor and guide other developers
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Design and develop future protection modules for a cybersecurity platform
• Design, implement, and test kernel drivers and user‑mode OS‑related infrastructure in C++
• Collaborate with Research and Product teams to leverage technical knowledge and contribute to product innovation
• Mentor and support a team of core developers through hands‑on technical guidance
• Create design documents, software development guidelines, and engineering best practices
