Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an enterprise architect for Digital Workplace Technologies to define future-state architecture, standards, and governance. This role provides technical leadership for the Windows endpoint environment, MECM, Intune, and Windows servicing, aligning with business objectives.

The architect level will be determined by the candidate’s experience and ability to drive modernization, governance, and secure, scalable endpoint solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field is required.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in technical leadership, architecture planning, or strategic technology planning.
• Experience designing architecture roadmaps and governance for enterprise endpoint platforms.
• Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops and governs strategic architecture roadmaps for Windows endpoint management (MECM/Intune), patching, and user experience.
• Creates reference architectures, design standards, and reusable solution frameworks.
• Leads architecture reviews and approvals for major Digital Workplace Technologies projects.
• Ensures solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Leads modernization initiatives including cloud-first management and automation.
