Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to provide senior-level systems administration and Azure platform support. This role is ~75% Windows Server administration with 25% troubleshooting a custom Azure-native messaging platform, requiring deep Microsoft enterprise skills and on-call availability.

The contractor will own complex incidents, use PowerShell, Python, Terraform/Terragrunt, Git/GitHub, and C# in a largely enterprise environment, and work from a remote location with on-site

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in systems administration or enterprise IT operations with senior-level ownership.
• Strong Windows Server administration in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, Exchange Hybrid, Teams/eDiscovery.
• PowerShell scripting and Python for administration and automation.
• Experience with Azure environments and troubleshooting Azure-hosted apps/services.
• Terraform/Terragrunt and Git/GitHub; strong customer-facing skills; on-site during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, including hybrid identity and Exchange Hybrid.
• Administer DNS/Infoblox, SSL/TLS certificates, privileged access, and file permissions.
• Respond to service requests and incidents; escalate complex issues; support after-hours and on-call.
• Troubleshoot a custom Azure-native messaging platform; improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot Azure Service Bus, API Management, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Key Vault, RBAC, and networking.
• Use PowerShell, Python, Terraform/Terragrunt, Git/GitHub, C#, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, KQL for automation and observability.
