Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior L3 Windows AWS Infrastructure Engineer to lead administration, optimization, and modernization of Windows Server, Active Directory, and AWS Cloud environments. You will ensure reliability, security, and performance while driving automation and cloud transformation.

Hybrid role in Novi, MI with 3 days/week onsite, balancing client needs and work-life harmony. Responsibilities include server provisioning, patching, lifecycle management, security hardening, PowerShell

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Deep experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022.
• Expertise administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, AD replication.
• Hands-on Windows Failover Clustering experience.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience managing server patching, upgrades, lifecycle, backup, and recovery.
• Hands-on AWS services in enterprise production environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud infra and network connectivity issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and optimize Windows Server environments.
• Manage enterprise AD services including Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and replication.
• Administer Windows Failover Clustering and server provisioning.
• Lead patching, upgrades, lifecycle, and performance optimization.
• Implement security hardening and compliance controls.
• Develop PowerShell automation to improve efficiency.
• Manage backup, recovery, and business continuity.
• Support AWS services (EC2, VPC, Route 53, IAM, SGs, ELB, CloudWatch, S3, Systems Manager).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and networking.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Provide escalation support for critical incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global teams and client stakeholders.
