Job summary

Iru is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve the Windows agent for secure, scalable endpoint management across enterprise environments. You will collaborate with cross-platform teams to deliver performant and reliable software that extends Iru’s reach on Windows.

The role emphasizes deep Windows API knowledge, system internals, and secure code practices, with on-site work 3 days per week in our Coral Gables, Miami office.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Windows system development and secure, performant code.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for low-level system integration.
• Deep understanding of Windows API, interprocess communication, and COM architecture.
• Familiarity with Windows Internals: processes, memory, threads, I/O, registry.
• Experience building long-running Windows services for enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of IPC mechanisms: named pipes, shared memory, sockets, message passing.
• Ability to design modular plugin architectures and update mechanisms.
• Experience packaging and deploying Windows apps with WiX/MSI and bootstrap logic.
• Understanding of PKI, X.509, and code signing for secure communications.
• Knowledge of TPM and secure hardware-backed security concepts.
• Scripting with PowerShell for diagnostics and deployment.
• On-site presence required 3x per week at Miami office (Coral Gables).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade Windows agent code and tools.
• Design features close to the OS using Windows APIs and system internals.
• Debug, optimize and secure system-level code in enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with cross-platform teams to ensure architecture consistency.
• Research, prototype, and ship new endpoint visibility and security features.
• Engage in Agile, CI/CD, and rigorous code reviews.
• Write modular, testable, maintainable code to raise quality.
