Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks an experienced Wind Tunnel Model Designer to join the wind tunnel model design group at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, Virginia. This is a part-time position with an hourly rate of $45–$65, commensurate with education and experience.

CREO is a plus but not required. Ideal candidate will have wind tunnel model design, mechanical mechanism design, and wind tunnel model stress analysis using hand calculations.

Qualifications

• B.S. In Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience specifically in wind tunnel design and analysis.
• Experience with ProE/Creo software or similar 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Design wind tunnel models and mechanical mechanisms, and perform wind tunnel model stress analysis using hand calculations.
