Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Technician for the Woodward Mountain Wind site in McCamey, TX. The role focuses on safe, field-based maintenance, diagnostics and long-term reliability of wind farm equipment.

You will interpret fault reports, monitor turbine performance and SCADA data while maintaining logs and collaborating with internal users. This is a non-travel position with potential relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED required.
• 0+ years experience.
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.
• Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL) required.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval required.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Troubleshoots electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintains company equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Manages own training schedules and meets training requirements.
• Meets attendance requirements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
