Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Technician for a non-travel, permanent role in Day County Wind, near Conde, SD. You will be on-site ensuring safe and optimal performance of wind farm operations, focusing on field-based maintenance, diagnostics, and reliability with opportunities for growth and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, and collaboration with internal teams to improve maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED required.
• 0+ years of experience.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).
• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain company equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Meet training requirements within designated timeframes.
• Support safety and environmental reporting and turbine availability.
