Job summary

iTechstack is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Wi‑Fi Connectivity in Palo Alto, CA for a hybrid on-site contract. You will own wireless driver development, 802.11 protocol stacks, firmware integration, and RF performance tuning in a high-impact role with visa sponsorship options.

Requires 5+ years in wireless connectivity, strong C/C++ for embedded Linux, and hands-on experience with 802.11 standards. Hybrid on-site expected 3–4 days/week in Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/EE/Telecommunications or related field.
• 5+ years in wireless connectivity and Wi‑Fi systems.
• Proficient in Linux kernel development and embedded C/C++.
• Experience with 802.11 standards and WPA2/WPA3 security.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize Wi-Fi protocol stacks and device drivers.
• Implement 802.11 MAC/PHY layers and WPA3 security.
• Perform RF calibration and performance benchmarking.
• Debug wireless packet flows with Wireshark and analyzers.
• Collaborate with hardware, RF, firmware and QA teams.
• Ensure IEEE/Wi-Fi Alliance compliance and SLAs.
• Write clean C/C++ for embedded Linux.
• Maintain driver test suites and release runbooks.
