Lynker Corporation in Colorado Boulder seeks a Senior Wetlands Scientist to lead wetlands mapping at regional to national extents, combining wetland science, remote sensing, and cloud-native geospatial computing.

You will sit near modeling and geospatial teams, turning wetlands science into scalable methods and reproducible pipelines. The role emphasizes validation, uncertainty quantification, and cross‑team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in wetlands/ecology or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD plus years of related work.
• Experience mapping wetlands, land cover or comparable features at large spatial scale.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native geospatial tooling, formats, and workflows.
• Experience implementing or adapting geospatial or ecological models.

Responsibilities

• Map at scale: produce, improve, and maintain versioned wetland maps across extents.
• Cloud-native geospatial: build and run workflows using cloud tools and storage.
• Wetland modeling: implement and refine models for potential, boundary and extent.
• Data integration: ingest LiDAR, hydrology, imagery, soils into pipelines.
• Validation & QA: design validation, quantify uncertainty, quality-control maps.
• Communication: document methods/results and partner with Platform/Modeling teams.
