Job summary

Lynker is seeking a Senior Wetland Scientist to lead large-scale wetland mapping and cloud-native geospatial modeling. You will drive wetland potential and boundary modeling, integrate diverse data sources, and validate results.

The role blends wetland science with software pipelines and collaborative development. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of wetland/geospatial experience, strong Python/R skills, and experience with cloud computing.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in wetland science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Map wetlands at scale across large extents.
• Build and run cloud-native geospatial workflows.
• Develop and adapt wetland models (potential, boundary, extent).
• Integrate LiDAR elevation, hydrology, imagery, soils, and inventories into models.
• Design validation against reference data and quantify uncertainty.
• Document methods and results; collaborate with Platform, Modeling, and Applications teams.
