Citi in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Trader to oversee a trading book in the Western USA Power Markets. You will generate revenues, manage risk, and coordinate with Sales, Research, and other teams to grow the trading franchise.

The role emphasizes governance, compliance, and strong client relationships. Requirements include 15+ years in power trading, deep market knowledge (CAISO/EDAM/WEIM/SPP), and advanced analytical skills; Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 15+ years in a related role trading North American Power.
Deep knowledge of Power markets and clients across Western USA.
Advanced analytical and numerical capability.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Oversee a trading book as a Senior trader and generate revenues and manage risk for the Western USA Power Markets.
Build and maintain a franchise and connect with key clients.
Coordinate with Sales, Research, CMand and other organizations across Markets and Securities Services and the broader business.
Trade a book and deliver on budgeted revenues and manage book risk.
Establish and maintain key relationships to deliver trades to the desk.
Anticipate client demand and facilitate large client trades.
Lead governance with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit and Finance; drive responsible finance and ethics.
