Job summary

NHC Hendersonville is seeking a Recreation/Activities Assistant to join our team and deliver therapeutic programs that meet residents’ individual needs while fostering an atmosphere of FUN and ENJOYMENT. You should be compassionate, creative, and energetic, with knowledge of wellness domains related to long-term care.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing a wellness program for LTC/Memory Care/Rehab, completing assessments and care plans, ensuring compliance with all guidelines,

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Self-motivated and creative with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with families, partners, and the community.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a wellness program for Long Term Care, Memory Care or Rehab patients (weekends/holidays may be needed).
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans and related paperwork.
• Ensure programming complies with local, state and federal guidelines.
• Bring the “fun” to activities and resident engagement.
• Other duties as assigned.
