Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across multiple projects. You will write and review welding quality plans, supervise CWIs and inspectors, and approve WPS and welder qualifications. Strong leadership and code knowledge are essential.

The role requires AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership, plus expertise in D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104. Travel to job sites and audits is expected.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection including supervision of other inspectors.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes: D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104 where applicable.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
• Capable of coordinating audits, reviews, and approvals with engineers of record and fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and calibrate their calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; witness or direct qualification testing.
