Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to serve as the welding quality authority across projects. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and inspectors, approve qualification packages, and lead fabricator audits with engineers of record.

You must hold AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership in welding inspection, and demonstrate expertise in AWS D1.1/ D1.5/ D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection including supervision of other inspectors.
• Strong command of AWS D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• Experience writing welding quality plans, procedures, and qualification packages.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects; review their reports and calibrate their calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; witness or direct procedure qualification testing; resolve disputed indications with engineers of record.
