Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects. You will write and review welding quality plans, supervise CWIs and Inspectors, and approve welding procedures and qualifications.

Role includes auditing fabricators, resolving disputed indications, and representing the company to engineers of record, owners, and building officials. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes (D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104).
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural/industrial work.
• Experience supervising welding inspectors and CWIs.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, fabricators, and officials.

Responsibilities

• W rites, reviews, and approves welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
• Review reports, calibrate calls, and witness PQR tests.
• Resolve disputed indications with engineers of record.
