Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs across projects. You will supervise CWIs and inspectors, review qualifications, and audit fabricators to ensure compliance with welded construction codes and client specs.

The role requires SCWI or CWI with 8+ years’ leadership; you will work closely with engineers of record and building officials. Pay ranges $50–$68/hour with travel and per diem as assigned.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with leadership experience
• Proficient with welding codes and NDT standards
• Experience writing welding quality programs

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects; review reports and calibrate calls
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing; audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems
• Qualify NDT subcontractors; resolve disputed indications with engineers of record; represent the company in welding quality reviews
