Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs across projects, write and review procedures, and supervise CWIs and inspectors on site.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership, strong code knowledge (D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104), and the ability to resolve complex welding issues with engineers and officials.

Qualifications

• Welding quality leadership experience preferred at SCWI level.
• Ability to write, review, and approve welding quality procedures.
• Experience supervising welding inspectors and CWIs.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Review reports and calibrate calls.
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages.
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
