Job summary

Construction Material Testing is looking for a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority across projects in Tacoma, WA. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors, and approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

You will audit fabricators, resolve disputed indications with engineers of record, and represent the company to engineers, owners, and building

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
• Represent the company to engineers of record and authorities.
