Job summary
Intellectt Inc. in Staunton, VA seeks an experienced Welding Engineer to lead pressure vessel design and ASME code compliance. The role focuses on welding engineering, design reviews, and calculations to ensure the integrity of pressure-containing equipment.
You will review drawings, support welding procedures and QA activities, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams. Onsite work is required for an 8+ year veteran who can guide multidisciplinary projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Welding/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years experience in welding engineering and pressure vessel design.
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes and standards for pressure equipment.
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Willingness to work onsite in Staunton, VA.
Responsibilities
- Review pressure vessel designs for ASME code compliance.
- Participate in design reviews and provide welding recommendations.
- Review drawings, specs, and welding requirements to identify issues.
- Perform and validate calculations related to vessels and welded components.
- Support welding procedures and fabrication activities.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams.
- Support testing, weld inspection, and QA activities to ensure integrity.
- Review welding documentation to align with standards.
