Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, Camden facility seeks an experienced Principal Manufacturing Welding Engineer to lead automated welding for water heater tanks. You will own weld process standards, parameter controls, and problem-solving across manufacturing teams to improve weld integrity, first-pass yield, and cost efficiency.

You will drive MIG and resistance projection welding development, set-up standards, and qualification activities, partnering with Quality, Maintenance, and Product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of automated welding engineering in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead MIG and resistance projection welding process development and optimization.
• Establish process windows, setup standards, weld schedules and controls.
• Coordinate process qualification with Quality and Manufacturing.
• Investigate weld defects, leaks and recurring losses.
• Apply root cause analysis and trials to verify corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot robotic welding with Controls and Maintenance.
• Support new product introductions and supplier reviews.
