Job summary

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a welding engineer.
Experience troubleshooting welding production bottlenecks and defects as a technical lead.
Experience with CAE/FEA to model weld distortion and residual stresses.
Experience with welding joint optimization and process efficiency improvements.
Experience with metallic additive manufacturing and solid-state joining.
Experience applying AWS structural codes to heavy manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop welding techniques and procedures to resolve metal fabrication challenges.
Validate mechanical testing and NDT results.
Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in advanced welding and materials joining.
Develop technical reports and oversee schedules to align with mission objectives.
Establish welding procedures for complex alloys and pre/post-heating requirements.
