Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation seeks a Welder/Fitter II to support production by fitting, welding and assembling components in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The role requires reading blueprints, laying out parts, tacking and MIG welding steel, and maintaining quality standards in a busy manufacturing setting.

Candidates should have high school diploma, 5–10 years manufacturing experience, and the ability to pass AWS D1.1 3G qualification. Ability to work overtime and lift 25–50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Must pass AWS D1.1 3G vertical weld qualification
• Advanced blueprint reading knowledge required
• Knowledge of machining, cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding parts advantageous
• Ability to read engineered drawings and welding symbols

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts; fabricate materials to specifications
• Tack-weld or weld components and projects
• Operate welding equipment and set up welds to standards
• Inspect parts visually and ensure quality and safety
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines
• Stand for long periods and lift 25–50 lbs as needed
