Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation in Reynoldsburg, OH is seeking a Welder/Fitter I to support manufacturing operations on 1st shift. Perform MIG welding, parts fitting, and inspection to meet quality and delivery goals, with safety a priority.

Requires high school diploma and 5+ years manufacturing experience; AWS D.1.1 3G qualification ability preferred. Benefits include health, 401(k), PTO, and bonus programs. Employment is full-time with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to pass a AWS D.1.1 3G vertical metal core pulse transfer weld qualification
• Must have intermediate blueprint reading knowledge
• Knowledge of machine operation, cutting, sawing, drilling, and grinding parts is desirable
• Ability to use welding tools
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred
• Team player and able to work with others
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities

• Fit/adjust parts, tack weld, and MIG weld steel
• Visually inspect parts
• Lay out, position, and secure parts per specifications
• Weld components in all positions
• Set up welding equipment
• Read engineered drawings and welding symbols
• Follow safety guidelines and keep work area clean
• Perform shop mathematical calculations
