Job Summary:

Responsible for meeting customer needs by:

1. Setting up and operating welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (may include working Robotic Welder)
2. Welding in various positions daily
3. Maintaining a clean work environment
4. Supporting continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible, and offering suggestions for improvements
5. Performing other duties as assigned

Tools Used:

Welding equipment (MIG, Pulse, TIG), robot welder, jigs, clamps, computer, buffer, grinder, wire brush, cutting torch, hand tools, overhead hoists, forklift trucks, hand carts, measuring devices, air tools, etc.

Safety Equipment:

Welding helmet, leathers (optional), safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal guards, face shield, ear plugs, gloves, etc.

Environment:

Heavy industrial atmosphere including exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, fumes/odors, sparks, occasionally cramped quarters, and awkward positions.

Competence:

Must complete the TBEI – Lake Crystal Senior Weld Demo with a passing score to demonstrate welding ability.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 5:45 am – 4:15 pm, with flexibility for overtime on Fridays.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prompt and reliable attendance to meet customer needs.
2. Basic math skills for measuring, assembling, and problem-solving.
3. Ability to demonstrate welding skills and pass welding certifications.
4. Manual handling of products and materials up to 50 lbs., and up to 100 lbs. using overhead hoists.
5. Standing and working in various positions for extended periods.
6. Ability to adjust welding equipment, read instructions, blueprints, and perform basic computer data entry.
7. Teamwork and collaboration with co-workers and other departments.
8. Ability to learn and rotate between multiple machines/jigs as needed.
9. Work efficiently within quality standards and work overtime as required.
10. Adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and hazard communication.

Additional Job Information:

• Wage: $25.00 to $28.00/hr, plus $1.00/hr Stainless Steel Premium upon certification.
• Pay: Hourly, bi-weekly pay schedule.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime on the 5th day and Saturdays.
• Location: 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal MN 56055.
• Travel: Minimal to none.
