Job Description

Position Summary

As a Senior Website Engineer, you will be responsible for web development and maintaining the company's marketing websites. You will work closely with the marketing team and other cross-functional teams to translate designs into high-converting, responsive, and engaging web experiences, while building scalable solutions and establishing best practices to deliver an exceptional user experience that meets business objectives.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead development and architecture of marketing websites, microsites, and martech integrations.
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and performance benchmarks for web performance.
• Architect scalable and maintainable front-end solutions.
• Collaborate with marketing leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools.
• Manage complex CMS migration projects with minimal business disruption.
• Design and implement custom WordPress solutions, including themes, plugins, and integrations.
• Oversee WP Engine environments, including staging, development, and production workflows.
• Optimize web properties for conversion, performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Develop reusable component libraries and design systems in code.
• Implement advanced tracking and analytics solutions.
• Lead security reviews and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality across projects.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience in website development, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Fluency in English.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization and debugging.
• Advanced WordPress development experience, including custom themes and plugins.
• Experience managing WP Engine hosting environments and deployment workflows.
• Proven experience leading CMS migration projects.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Strong web security knowledge.
• Experience with server-side rendering and static site generation.
• Understanding of API design and integration.
• Proficiency with version control and collaborative workflows.
• Experience with technical project planning and estimation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Track record of successful website launches.
• Background in agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with marketing technology stacks (MAPs, CDP, analytics).
• Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
• Experience with internationalization and localization.
• Background in e-commerce or SaaS marketing.
• Understanding of SEO technical requirements.
• Experience with web accessibility audits.
• Advanced experience with headless WordPress.
• Experience with Jamstack architectures (Gatsby, Next.js) with WordPress as a data source.
• Knowledge of data visualization and interactive content creation.
• Experience with serverless architectures and cloud services.
