Job summary

The Bitcoin Street Journal is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and deliver reusable services for blockchain application support and token lifecycle management. You will work across wallet integration, transaction orchestration, and custody platforms, contributing from architecture through production operations.

Based in Southlake, Texas, you will join a team focused on scalable, secure systems with support for multiple networks, including public and permissioned blockchains.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed systems or blockchain infrastructure.
• Strong Web3 experience with Ethereum and EVM concepts.
• Experience with backend APIs, microservices, and cloud-native development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable backend services for tokenization, transaction processing, and connectivity across networks.
• Develop abstractions for Besu, Canton, Ethereum and other EVM chains and layer-2s.
• Implement node and smart-contract connectivity using JSON-RPC, WebSockets, ABI encoding, and event logs.
• Collaborate with platform and operations teams on security, validation, and rollouts.
