Job summary

DaVita seeks a Principal Web Developer, Marketing Communications, to define scalable development standards and guide modernization across public-facing properties. You will be the primary technical partner for internal teams and agencies while remaining embedded in Marketing Communications.

You will lead end-to-end development initiatives, shape platform strategy, and ensure accessibility, security and governance across multiple sites and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive web development experience with enterprise CMS platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress architecture and Gutenberg/block development.
• Experience leading complex web initiatives across internal teams, agencies and technical partner groups.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility, web performance, security, privacy/compliance and release governance.
• Ability to define technical standards and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction for Marketing Communications web development across WordPress VIP properties and front-end architecture.
• Create and maintain standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, security and release readiness.
• Evaluate platform constraints and modernization options, balancing speed, risk and sustainability.
• Serve as senior technical advisor to leadership for web modernization and platform operations.
• Lead complex developer initiatives end to end with cross-functional teams.
• Coach developers through architecture reviews and enablement activities.
