Job summary

The Lakeland Ledger, part of Gannett, is seeking a full-time Press Operator to support daily production on our Goss Colorliner presses in Lakeland, FL. Responsibilities include preparing presses for production, operating presses or components, cleaning the presses and pressroom, and maintaining mechanical readiness.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, and while not required, experience in web offset printing is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in web offset printing desirable.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 2000 pounds.
• Color vision is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presses for production and operate presses or components.
• Clean presses and pressroom and maintain mechanical readiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
