Job summary

Save the Children is seeking an Advisor Web Developer to design, support, and enhance digital platforms connecting donors and communities. You will ensure reliable, secure, and user-centered web solutions to expand reach and impact.

The role emphasizes CMS customizations, analytics, accessibility, and collaboration across teams. Hybrid work options available in locations such as Washington DC, Fairfield CT, Lexington KY, with strong emphasis on Agile practices and quality assurance.

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience implementing and maintaining web analytics.
Experience using HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience with a version control system.
Experience developing customizations for a CMS.
Strong technical communication skills translating CMS functionality to documentation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to investigate issues and propose solutions.
Proficient in MS Office; proficient in English.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain CMS customizations and provide CMS admin support.
Advocate modern web app design and development; ensure platform stability and performance.
Develop, maintain, and support website applications such as tags, analytics, monitoring, and consent management.
Conduct audits, analytics validation, SEO, accessibility, and content reporting.
Lead operational support with daily stand-ups; monitor health and coordinate actions.
Perform QA testing, participate in Agile ceremonies, oversee deployment validation.
