Job summary

American Psychological Association is seeking a Senior Web Developer to build and maintain flagship public-facing platforms, collaborating with design, UX, and back-end teams. You will contribute to AI-enabled web capabilities, intelligent search, content discovery, and enterprise API integrations.

The role emphasizes modern front-end and back-end web development, secure scalable APIs, cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure), and Agile practices in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5–8 years of related experience.
• Strong proficiency in ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, C#, and JavaScript.
• Solid front-end experience: HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, accessibility, and API usage.
• Experience with Web APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
• Knowledge of secure, scalable APIs and cloud stacks (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with Tridion Sites and enterprise search platforms is a plus.
• Experience integrating AI-enabled services into web apps is desired.
• Agile practices, CI/CD, Git, and modern web tooling are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate web features, including APIs and search capabilities.
• Collaborate with design/UX to translate layouts into assets.
• Optimize performance and responsiveness across platforms.
• Maintain CMS functionality and extend CMS capabilities.
• Contribute to AI-enabled web capabilities and recommendations.
• Mentor peers and stay current with emerging tech trends.
• Document systems and participate in CI/CD pipelines.
