Job summary

3dB Labs in West Chester, OH is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join our small, fast-paced team. You will design and implement performant front-end and back-end components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and related technologies, with a focus on DSP-inspired software and integration with RF equipment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of web development, experience with React/Node.js, Python, SQL, and API design, and the ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of web development experience with React and Node.js.
• 4+ years of Python experience.
• 3+ years of SQL/Database experience.
• Experience building high-performance APIs using protobuf.
• Development of software for Linux operating systems.
• Experience leading other engineers in software development.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement performant and scalable front-end and back-end components using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Node.js, etc.)
• Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including designing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining software solutions
• Act as a technical lead for junior engineers, performing code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring
• Work in an Agile-like development environment with sprint planning, grooming, and demos
• Collaborate with product managers, technical architects, and stakeholders to build requirements and provide development estimates

3dB Labs is seeking an experienced senior software engineer who loves to solve challenging web problems in the realm of digital signal processing. The ideal candidate is creative, smart, and able to work effectively on their own or with a small team. Our work provides the opportunity for a unique mix of theory-based algorithm development, implementation of software-based high-performance processing solutions, and integration with high-end RF equipment. Our employees are typically BS/MS holders in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science, but we will consider anyone with demonstrated skills and interest in software development and/or signal processing.

We are adding to our team a Senior Web Developer to work in-office in our West Chester, OH location. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement performant and scalable front-end and back-end components using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Node.js, etc.)

Experience

Required

• 7+ years of web development experience, including experience with React and Node.js in a professional capacity
• 4+ years of Python experience
• 3+ years of SQL/Database experience
• Experience building high-performance APIs using profobuf
• Development of software for Linux operating systems
• Experience leading other engineers in technical aspects of software development
• Ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret clearance

Desired

• Development with C++, C++17 or newer is preferred
• Experience with UX Design Tools such as Figma or Adobe Xd
• Digital signal processing and signals and systems theory
• Background in software defined radio and digital communication theory
• Proven strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently with freedom to develop your own creative technical solutions to our problems
• Current or past US security clearance is a major plus, ability to obtain a clearance required
