Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Web Applications Software Engineer with deep experience in TypeScript, Node.js, and React. You will own meaningful product and technical initiatives end to end, from the landing page through the loan application funnel, impacting conversion and revenue.

The role is frontend-forward within a modern stack including Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS. You will ship clean, tested code, perform peer reviews, and mentor other engineers while measuring

Job description

Seeking a Senior level Web Applications Software Engineer with strong experience in Typescript, Node.js, and React who is skilled in owning products end-to-end. This group owns the borrower experience from the first landing page through the application funnel. That includes the intake flow, offer-code entry, and refinance pre-qualification. The work directly impacts conversion, revenue, and whether someone gets the loan they came for.

The team is heavily frontend focused and driven by experimentation. You’d work within a shared design system, run A/B tests, and use analytics to understand how users move through the funnel. That includes conversion tracking, form-step instrumentation, session insights, and frontend error monitoring. Performance and stability matter because this is the front door to the business, and any friction in the funnel has a measurable impact.

You will be a good fit if you think about product and engineering together, care about outcomes instead of just shipping features, and enjoy moving quickly, testing ideas, and learning from real user behavior in short feedback cycles.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working on an innovative and scalable platform that originates personal loans. You will use your experience in software development to write clean, tested, and well-documented code, as well as provide peer code review and mentor other engineers on the team.

About You

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with hands‑on experience building, shipping, and supporting production software using Node.js, React, and TypeScript.


• You are a true full‑stack engineer who owns features end to end across frontend and backend.


• You’re comfortable deep in the code and confident making architectural decisions and tradeoffs.
