Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group seeks a Senior Web Application Architect to define and govern web architecture standards, reference designs, and roadmaps for customer- and partner-facing apps. You will lead modernization efforts, shape front-end frameworks, and establish design systems while mentoring engineers across teams.

You will collaborate with UX/UI, product, and DevOps to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing digital experiences on Azure and AWS clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering; 4+ years in web architecture or senior roles.
• Strong experience designing interactive, responsive, accessible, and transactional web apps.
• Deep knowledge of front-end architecture using JavaScript/TypeScript with React or Angular.
• Experience defining design systems, state management, testing, and standards.
• Experience backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and Backend-for-Frontend.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, browser security and OWASP risks.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define web application architecture standards, reference designs, and roadmaps.
• Lead reviews ensuring alignment with security, cloud, and integration standards.
• Guide modernization of legacy apps via refactoring and re-platforming.
• Define front-end architectures and reusable design systems.
• Mentor engineers and act as SME for digital initiatives.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality.
• Stay informed on trends in web architecture, UI/UX, and digital experiences.
