Job Summary
- Act as the Wealth Banker to UHNW and HNW clients, providing bespoke wealth services.
- Identify and develop client relationships with ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth residents in Mauritius.
- Lead new client acquisition and retention, with extensive knowledge of wealth banking products across banking and non-banking sectors in multi-currency environments.
- Apply proven sales, networking, origination, and business development skills to increase market share in the domestic market.
- Maintain outstanding relationships with intermediaries such as management companies, real estate agents, asset management firms, legal firms, promoters, and government agencies.
Job Description
- Manage client portfolios and develop a book of clients focused on ultra/high-net-worth individuals in Mauritius, including individual accounts and SPVs.
- Develop and maintain existing relationships while identifying new business opportunities aligned with client needs.
- Develop and implement banking strategies with full revenue and balance sheet responsibility, suitable for an individual with senior banking leadership experience.
- Build new relationships through referrals, intermediaries, and internal networks.
- Originate new target market clients through lending, transactional banking, savings, and investments.
- Maintain high service levels across all channels for existing clients.
- Ensure compliance with global and market standards, including regulatory requirements, fiduciary duties, and suitability.
- Prepare credit applications, loan and mortgage agreements, and manage client queries.
- Foster collaboration, teamwork, and act as a role model and trusted advisor within the team and wider organization.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members and junior colleagues.
- Continuously develop personal skills through relevant training and professional development.
- Support wealth and banking initiatives within the organization.
Education
Bachelor's Degree and Professional Qualifications in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies are required.
