Job description

Asset One Wealth Management | Bellevue, Washington

Asset One Wealth Management is seeking an experienced Senior Wealth Advisor to serve affluent, high-net-worth, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families from our Bellevue office.

This role is designed for an advisor who genuinely enjoys the profession: building trusted relationships, leading meaningful financial conversations, solving complex problems, and helping families make thoughtful decisions about their wealth.

You will step into established client relationships and work alongside experienced professionals across investment management, financial planning, tax, estate planning, and operations.

The Role

As a Senior Wealth Advisor, you will serve as a primary relationship manager and trusted advisor to an established group of Asset One clients.

You will be responsible for understanding each client's financial life, identifying planning opportunities, leading client meetings, coordinating recommendations, and ensuring clients receive proactive and highly personalized advice throughout the year.

This is not a sales-first position.

Your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional advice and develop enduring relationships with the families you serve.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned client relationships
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's financial circumstances, family dynamics, goals, concerns, and long-term priorities
  • Lead client review meetings and other important financial conversations
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the year rather than relying solely on scheduled review meetings
  • Develop relationships that extend beyond investment performance and position Asset One as a trusted resource when important financial decisions arise

Work with clients across a broad range of planning considerations, including:

  • Tax planning
  • Cash-flow and liquidity planning
  • Concentrated stock positions
  • Business and executive compensation considerations
  • Wealth transfer and legacy planning

You do not need to personally be the technical expert in every discipline.

You do need to possess the judgment to identify important issues, ask thoughtful questions, recognize planning opportunities, and coordinate the appropriate specialists when necessary.

Lead the Client Experience

Prepare thoroughly for client meetings and ensure recommendations are clear, thoughtful, and actionable.

Coordinate with Asset One's investment, tax, estate planning, compliance, and operations professionals to provide clients with an integrated wealth management experience.

Follow through on recommendations and ensure important planning items move from conversation to implementation.

Communicate sophisticated financial concepts in a way that is understandable, practical, and relevant to the client.

Develop strong working relationships with clients' attorneys, CPAs, and other outside professionals when appropriate.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is an experienced wealth management professional who is confident meeting with clients, leading financial planning conversations, and serving families with increasingly complex financial circumstances.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related advisory role, with meaningful experience meeting directly with clients
  • An active Series 65 license
  • Strong financial planning knowledge and an understanding of how investments, taxes, estate planning, retirement planning, and cash-flow decisions interact
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Sound judgment and strong attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continually improve as an advisor
  • The ability to simplify complex financial concepts and communicate them clearly
  • Strong preparation, organization, and follow-through
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to develop trusted relationships
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and outside professionals
  • A genuine commitment to putting clients' interests first

While professional credentials are important, we place significant value on judgment, communication skills, curiosity, professionalism, and an individual's ability to earn the trust of the families we serve.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this position is straightforward.

Clients know you and trust you.

You understand their financial lives beyond what appears on an account statement.

Client meetings are thoughtful, organized, and well prepared.

Planning opportunities are identified proactively rather than reactively.

Recommendations are clearly communicated and effectively implemented.

Clients hear from you when there is something they should know, not only when their next review meeting approaches.

Attorneys, accountants, and other professionals view you as a capable and collaborative partner.

And when a significant financial decision arises, you are someone clients trust to help them think through it.

Base Salary: $150,000–$200,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Annual Performance Bonus: Additional performance-based compensation opportunity

Benefits include:
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and eligible dependents
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 6% employer match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Continuing education and professional development support
  • Long-term career advancement opportunities
